Putting Our DEI Commitment into Action

We recognize the business benefits of diversity, as well as our moral and ethical responsibility to support a more inclusive and equitable society.

These beliefs drive our Zurn Elkay Water Solutions diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) commitment.

As we work to support our communities with philanthropy and volunteerism, a key focus area is experiences, events and organizations that provide educational opportunities, expand horizons, and promote diversity and inclusion while removing barriers to opportunity.

Recent examples include:
  • Donating nearly $1 million to support efforts dedicated to racial justice and equity

  • Being a multi-year sponsor of the Women of Influence Symposium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, which gathers hundreds of rising women leaders for education and networking opportunities

  • Funding two Women in Supply Chain scholarships at Marquette University

  • Being a member of the Wisconsin LGBT Chamber of Commerce and the Leadership Council since 2019

Driving Supplier Diversity

Another external focus of our DEI work is driving supplier diversity. We believe that by investing in and building relationships with diverse customers and suppliers, we can bring our scale, influence and support to the economic growth and development of minority- and women-owned businesses.

In 2021, Zurn Water Solutions spent about $5 million doing business with suppliers owned by women, minorities, veterans or LGBTQ individuals, or in HUBZone locations. We’re targeting to reach 8% of North America spending with businesses in these groups by 2024.
